A cover version of “Nothing Else Matters” by Chris Stapleton, originally by Metallica was released today from the compilation “The Metallica Blacklist“.

The Metallica Blacklist” is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of heavy metal band Metallica’s fifth album, “Metallica” (Referred to by fans as “The Black Album”), and features cover versions from 53 artists celebrating the 12 songs from Metallica’s “Metallica“, with profits from “The Metallica Blacklist” split between Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation and a charity of the artist’s choice. Chris Stapleton’s profits will benefit Outlaw Kind of State, a charitable fund that supports a variety of causes that are close to the heart of Chris and his wife, Morgane. “The Metallica Blacklist” will be available on Friday, September 10, 2021.

Released 30 years ago today on August 12, 1991, “Metallica”  (Known to fans as “The Black Album”) is Metallica’s top-selling album and the best-selling album of the Soundscan era, and is currently certified 16 times platinum with sales of nearly 17 million copies in the United States alone.
